Banners ads aren't dead. In fact, I don't remember them EVER being more alive than right now.

OK, here's the deal. Right now, I'm getting $.04 per click on some of the ad networks for some incredibly competitive terms. That's 4 cents per click... You can't touch that price on Google AdWords or Yahoo's Search Marketing.

The next time you are one an advertising rich website, pay attention to 'what' catches your eye. Is it the pretty banners? Is it the ugly ones? I'm willing to be that it's the ugly ones - more so than the pretty ads.
